Just wondering how I might find out how many E61 550i m Sports were sold in the UK with a manual gearbox. Am upgrading from the E46 330 Touring.... John

BMW UK Customer Service should be able to give you a fairly accurate figure (you'll get the number on bmw.co.uk) but at a guess I'd say there will be more occurrences of rocking horse poo in any of the years the 550i was available than manual 550's. V nice car.

but I hate selling cars to the general public! Manual 550i Touring is not listed in Glasses Guide... |

Since being an owner of an E60, in nearly three years I've seen one 550i MSport auto (twice), three other 545is and not one 540i. All saloons. It would appear that just about any V8 E60 is indeed as common as rocking horse poo. Never seen any V8 tourings. I've seen plenty of E60 M5s, commoners! The 550i has a 367 bhp 4.8 litre V8, not a huge amount over the 545i but it will be a newer car as it replaced the 545i in '05. |

Have found one! Manual 550i MSport Touring with xenons,
leather and few other toys. Would have preferred it in black, but that's being very choosy, and silver grey looks fine. |
