Looking for advice guys, took my 325 out for a spin d other day after been parked up for a while, problem is theres a strong smell of petrol /fumes coming from the engine,told this could be a perished fuel pipe up near the manifold,any views would be great Thanks Noel. |

Hi Noel,
I had a similar sounding problem on an E30 316i - one of the pipes under the inlet manifold had just cracked at the end (by a clip). Fuel was pouring down the side of the block! It should be pretty easy to spot and I believe it is fairly common. Let us know how you get on. |

Yeah, there are two small scetions of 1/4" (?) hose for the fuel send and return lines. Have a look at:

Thanks guys, dropped it to mechanic tonight, he hopes to get to look at it over the next day or two, will keep ye posted.

Yea guys it was a perished fuel pipe, sorry for the delay in replying
