:D Update from Harry Fairbairns, BMW UK have agreed a 50% discount on the price of the clutch and the Dealers have given me 20% on labour costs so
the bill has come down to £1400 give or take so very happy with the outcome BIG CHEERS to Harry Fairbairns Paul McDonald Warranty Manager great customer service ,pick it up tomorrow :D :D

Well that's certainly better than the original price that they quoted you, hope all goes well when you get it back!!

£1400 is a bit heavy but when you think of the total bill then I suppose it looks like a result

up date got it back today so took the long way home  was ever sooooo smooth going through the box didnt lift right foot off at all whilst changing up to check on ease,soooooo nice n smooth, M77 good road for testing ,all within the law of course

Having a new bit of kit fitted to the car can make such a huge difference in the drive, you don't reliase before.  Plus of course there is the Placebo effect.

That is some long way home....I wonder if it your M5 I've seen on the M8 near the Airport heading towards Greenock direction, what colour is your machine?

OOOOOYA!!!  thats an epic fail mate, I must confess its the biggest thing putting me off having an M5, its deffo a case of when not if something in the tranny spits the dummy

Glad you got it back, unfortunately as you know nothing
comes cheap with that M badge.

but once you get it back out on the road the grin factor
soon makes you forget about your empty wallet, well at
least til the next petrol station!
