After picking some brains, got a 05 plate e90 320d auto, had a problem Wednesday as the wife was driving home it started blowing blue smoke from the exhaust, she called the RAC and he suspected turbo or breather filter.

The car was taken to a local garage they they said turbo was ok no play and no signs of oil (should be it was only fitted 18 months ago). So they replaced the breather in the cam cover, new air filter. She collected the car last night and driving it this morning it feels well down on power and doesn't seem to want to kick down there's no unusual noises and no smoke.

Any ideas, maybe a connector or pipe they haven't put back, the garage isn't open again until Tuesday and I need to use the car over weekend to visit relatives.
Thanks in advance

Clogged up breather system, there was a thread on here recently about cleaning it out, it looked like a coal mine before!

I'll see if I can find it.

Thanks Andrew

Been out in it this morning and all seems ok, you can now hear the turbo spin up so maybe just residue left behind, the link is for an e46 is the egr etc the same on the e90?

Can say if it is the same but I wouldn't have thought that it would be wildly different.  At 6 years old cleaning out your breather hoses wouldn't hurt and wont cost much.
