Hi all, I have only had my car a few months. Can anyone tell me why my reversing sensors squeal/bleep like crazy even when there's nothing behind just by selecting reverse of course?

There could be muck on the sensors confusing it or polish stuck in the sensors.  Are all the sensors sitting correctly within the bumper?  Missalignmen within the bumper could up set the system

You don't have a towbar fitted do you? Not that the towbar should foul the sensors but if the towbar wiring hasn't been installed correctly this can interfere with the parking sensors. Or had a towbar been fitted previously and then removed without correctly removing the additional wiring?

if they're making those noises then as Andrew says you've most likely got dirt or polish on the sensors, give them a good clean, don't use polish on them and they'll be fine.
