Yes you have to tell them as its classed as a modification! It did nothing to my premium although I have heard others say they had to pay for the change. Confused

if I can get my E30 M3 home on a completely untreated, black-iced, snow covered, hilly road on normal tyres then any mortal can (or should) Smile

b****x, I am a vocational driver and drive many thousands of miles a year and both my E39 and my E46 are just crap in the snow. I agree that people should minimalise their risk of getting into trouble and if using tyres specifically designed to be used in the snow does that, then fair play to them. I had over 24" of snow in my estate last year and trust me, only 4x4's were getting in or out for a few days. (one of which, towing me in my Transit)

My solution......put the hardtop on the car, park it up and drive the FWD Transit......far far better !!

I won't have Ford bashing! Mercs yes, but not Fords

Brilliant video but I'm not having my summer tyres for only July and August cos the rest of the year ties in with the winter tyre operating characteristics and they cost a fortune. I'll agree with Andrews previous post about sensible driving. ( and stick to the Transit for winter) lol
