I tried sensible driving in my 328 two winters ago.
After two hours and 3 rescues by passers by giving me a shove i gave up and put it in the garage for the next 3 months Ermm
 
Last year i used winter tyres and wasn't stuck once.
 
If sensible driving works for others then well done them. It's no contest for me though. It's like driving a totally different car. Cool

I completely agree, if I didn't have Tommy the Transit I'd have winter tyres in a shot. As we all know RWD and a few horses is a bad combination in slippy conditions.
