UPDATE on the E3.....

BAD news, i went to Selkirk tonight to see the car in the flesh.....here goes,

floor-pan - rotten beyond repair
sills both sides - rotten beyond repair
chassy rotten in places
not a single panel without major dent, rust, damage.
O/S front to back badly dented, ( looks like it spent a few days on a golf driving range )..
car has been lying outside for a couple of years
just about every moving part is virtually siezed
interior has some pretty bad damage to the seats
all the chromework is badly damaged-dented-corroded
bonnet has been forced off its hinges, ( someone obviously didnt know how to open a Beemers bonnet )...
quite a few parts missing also...
i think i better stop there....
anyway, i'm a bit gutted.....
i'm not even gonna make an offer for it, doesnt look like there's much left even to salvage....

sorry to hear that mate, was really hoping it was going to be better than you have described. I could really see you breezing along in an old grandad bus

At least you had the sense to walk away, wish I could do that now and then

Thanks guy's, yeh, pretty p155ed off about it, i found out when i went down that i was the 3rd person to go see it, the other 2 guy's also walked away cos of the amount of rust and damage, i also found out, it was lying outside, exposed to the elements for a couple of years...if i'd known this, i wouldnt even have taken the 4 hrs out of my time to go see it, as i thought i was the first to view it.....oh well. c'est la ve.......
