Hi, I have a couple of queries that I need some help with please?

1. My touring has just passed the 100,00 mile mark and mechanically I'm keen to keep it running as well as possible so I'm wondering what I should check? I've got a little list, as follows, to work from but any advice would be welcome.

Engine - Distributor?, plugs/leads, hoses, belts, air flow meter, idle control valve (priority as I have a slightly erratic idle)
Suspension - Shock absorbers

The exhaust is due to be changed, but I'm going for a full stainless system anyway. The brakes were done/upgraded earlier this year and the gearshift is going to be converted to a shortshift as well in due course.

2. I'm on the lookout for a loadcover/dogguard to match a silver grey interior, does anybody have one?

Any advice would be much appreciated....

Cheers
Steve

Both my e30's saw new head gaskets at around 100K. Beware of this - change your coolant incase you haven't done so for a while.

Bar that, they just go on. Steering racks also go at about 100K, and if your water pump hasn't already been done, it may also.

They are generally superb as long as they have been maintained correctly.

Try cleaning your idle control valve with some carb cleaner to see whether it frees up a bit.

Must be a trick of the light mate. The lip spoiler is just a standard 318is one painted black. I did consider an Alpina spoiler but theres a lot of speed bumps in my area so it knocked that idea on the head.
