I wouldn't worry about the coil colour as long as it is the correct one, you should be fine.
 
 
I wouldn't drive the car but I believe the ECU would be able to detect the lack of spark in a particular cylinder and shut down that fuel injector so that you don't get fuel washing the oil out of the cylinder.
 
How did you troubleshoot it?  Did you swap coils about?  Or get codes read.  A missfire due to a knackered coil would have fired off the engine management light, I would have thought.
Be exclusive and drive a Petrol 5 Series!
