Hi all. Spent my day stripping my car, kidney grills, trim, bumper mesh, fogs, side skirts etc. thought I would do it myself as stops broken clips or masking up !! Put the stripped bumpers back on, and my winter tyres ( style 5s fill the arches a bit too much ;) ) will remove lights and bumpers at the garage.

On another note winter tyres are really squishy at 26 degrees

That's her dropped off. Was present when they were mixing paint. Burnt Orange with silver and brown through it. Super nervous now :(

Garage near London road in glasgow.
Popped in about 5 times to check other cars work and all looked good.
Was a bm 530 in line green with a black roof, couple of minis going for white, Tvr going orange, z3 going white, a3 going white. White looks to be the colour of choice. The 530 looked horrid but each to there own.

Be away for a week but told them no rush, don't want corners cut and can enjoy my e34 s sweet engine noise whilst wafting along

So popped down to the paint shop, here's how he stands at moment

Rear badge getting removed so smoothed off. Dent x2 fixed on rear o/s arch, dent on bonnet and tailgate all fixed.
My rear number plate is stuck on, so told them to angle grind it off. They didn't want to break plate. Rear lights removed but fronts still in, again couldn't get indicators off. Fixed now. Getting painted tomorrow. ;)

Yip, the garage had to break it as the screw was stuck. Wanted to ask me first. The headlights and upper window seal were removed by me. Again they don't want to damage anything. Get photos up soon

Right so here it is after a couple of coats. Couple of areas need fixing (both bumpers had fine cracks that showed up during paint) these will be fixed next week. So should have a car again tomorrow

Hard to tell the colour due to poor lighting. It's red/orange, burnt red, dark orange etc etc. think the black trim and windows will help break it up. Glad I didn't get them painted !!

Totally agree Billy. I am a fan of an orange car if it is the right car and this is going to look great. I had a Fiesta RS Turbo years ago and was going to get it painted orange and re-badged as RS Tango. Looking forward to seeing this finished.

Well, here she is

Might need a new rear plate

Bumpers and nose cone needing paint correction and to write a snag list if I see any problems. This will be done prior to gaydon.

Hopefully some black trim will break up the orange :)
