Closing up shop - Thanks for the memories

   I'll get straight to the point: I've decided that the time has come to lock up the forum (that time probably came a while back!).The way the internet has evolved, social media has put huge pressure on many discussion forums, this one included. I've therefore made the decision that I'll close the forum to both new registrations and new posts. I am going to leave the forum in place as there are thousands of helpful pieces of advice, photos of beautiful cars, memories and so on and I don't want to remove that information.
The forum started in October 2002 as part of the BMW Car Club GB. Through a difference of opinions (ahem), this forum separated from the club into the Bavarian Board. The concept was simple - the forum should be open to everyone who had an interest in BMWs, had a query on their car or who wanted to meet with others who also enjoyed their RWD machines.

I've gotten a lot from this forum over the years. I got to know loads of great people. I learnt a lot from my peers. I went places and saw things. 
To you all, thank you for being part of this; thank you for your involvement; thank you for the memories.
