It doesn't rain, but it pours. Oil service due on my beloved '96 M3 evo convertible and then, within 3 days;

1 - Tyre blows.....replaced it

2 - Windscreen cracks.....yet to replace (bit of insurance excess to pay there)

3 - Air con goes flat - needs re-gas

4 - Another tyre develops a slow puncture (maybe)

5 - Horrible grating feeling and noise coming from clutch - on it's way out (80k miles) - just managed to get home haven't dared to drive it since.

Going to have to fix this merry list of 'problems' but have decided that I can no longer afford to keep her...(I also have 5 kids!)

So, given the state of the nation, I am fixing all the bugs and selling - but where, I ask, is the best place to advertise online? I am not sure that there is much market out there, but if there is......WHERE IS IT??

Any advice on selling would be greatly appreciated.

Tks.

When I sold my e36 m3 conv last year, all I did was look at the various websites, autotrader, bmwmagazine etc, in the classifieds as well and basically tried to make it more attractive than any of the others out there without taking too much of a hit with it, if you plan to have work done on the car then make sure you mention this in the ad, make the car as tidy as possible and price to sell. It is a nightmare, best of luck.

To get the best prive try letting it go to an enthusiast so use the free ads in Total BMW, try bmwcar magazine's classifieds section plus the car clubs classifieds section.

I put my 318iS in autotrader and got no responce but had loads of enquirires from the local press. Last resort might be getting a price from a dealer-our local dealer is advertising that he buys in M power cars and is short of stock.

I'm in a small market town about 10 miles outside Milton Keynes.

I've just had a friend who 'deals' check some figs on Glass's and for info he came up with:

1995 3L M3 80k on clock is average-trade £7800, resale average £8950, a1 with full BMsh £9950 - with mileage he reckoned on adding £50 per 1000 miles less than the average.

I know yours is later evo but it may give you a starting guide.
