Ok Guys,

I have arranged for us to have my old neighbour who I worked with in the traffic and who is now in Traffic education and Support Team (TEST), to give us a wee talk on advanced driving techinques amonst other things.

The plan is to meet at the Ospery Inn at Newton Mearns at 2pm then all head off to Helen St Traffic complex in Govan at 3pm where Davy , who has kindly given up his day as a favour to me, will give the talk.

This will last for about 1 and a half hours and will include a tour of the building as well as a look around the traffic cars.
This will probably be the first time any of you lot have been in one and got out without a ticket

Please don't be late as this is a working Police office and those left behind won't be allowed access.

Having worked there for 6 months I have to say that it is quite impressive and should be a good day out and a bit different from the normal Meets

Gary

A couple of us down here are having a crack at getting some members through the advanced, the club are launching it at rockingham.

Maybe you could get the scottish version going ???

I did it last year and was delighted with it, great fun to do, and it does seem to make a difference to the "feel" of your driving.

Best Wishes

Nigel

Good on you pete, where were you when we posted the question ages ago ?

It might catch on, why not try and get the other lads to have a go ?

Best Wishes

mmmm Don`t` know the answer to that one.

I think everyone should spend the £80 (thats how much i was)

as you will learn alot and it defo makes you think when driving.

Exept Masopa from e36coupe.com who crashed on the way home from is lesson and wrote of his m3

Jon be good if you could make it.

Nigel, Theres a guy from the IAD who is coming to give the girls a talk later on in the year so we are hoping that some of them will take up Eric's offer of being put through this. I think he quoted something in the region of £40-£80. Not bad considering it improves your driving an observations and helps you become a safer driver.

That depends on what's going into the next article Wendy...

Also - will I get knicked if I turn up with my ' ever so slightly' tailored registration plate...?

You know it's all done in the "best possible taste"

I think you should be OK, it's his day off that day. I on the other hand might be looking for a wee bit of over time and you could be the man to provide it
