I've got my 96 318i booked in for its Inspection 1 service at David Paul of Warrington on Wednesday.  Are they any good? Has anyone used them?

Cheers

Hi

I bought my 1992 320i convertible from a Warrington lad
who was an absolute fanatic on the car everthing had to be right and he had the car seviced at David Pauls Independent BMW speacialists and he was very impressed with them he was less impressed with a Main Dealer he usde previous I have a service potfolio wich came with the car and many of the services are by David Paul so as recomendation is the only thing you can go by you should be fine entrusting your car with them. As I dont live in Warrington I use an Independet BMW garage which was recommended to me and Iam very pleased with his service.

Thanks rutter, I guess you're right though - one person could have a completely different experience to another.  Well I'll let you know how I get on, the recommendation is good though so I shouldn't have any problems!

Thanks,

Sheep

One tip leave the washer bottle low and see if he tops it up this should be done on an inspection 1 service

Will do! My screenwash is very low, so I'll leave it like that and see what happens.  Thanks!

Took the car for its Inspection this morning, and I've gotta say I'm very impressed with the service and expertise of the mechanic (I dealt with David).

I had made a list (quite an extensive one!) of all the bits and pieces that needed doing, just for my convenience really, but the guy there offered to work through it and see what could be done!

At the end of the day I came back to pick it up and he had completed the service, solved a few of the minor problems and diagnosed most of the bigger problems that needed sorting.  He had suggestions for almost everything he couldn't fix and went through his list and mine very thoroughly, explaining everything that needed doing.

I am very impressed with David Paul so far.  After some of the dodgy backstreet bullsh**ters I put up with when I owned the Fords, I felt like I was being treated like royalty!

He's ringing back tomorrow with some more information about parts/prices etc so I'll let y'all know how I get on.
