I'm sittin here with my stock E34 M5 wanting that bit extra. I know some of you are sayin greedy B****** hasn't he got enough already, but before you start all i want to do is chip her. I want a mapped chip fitted, is there anybody up here that you can recommend for the job or am I going to have to go for a run down south to have this small operation completed. I know a guy through the vw's up fife way, Jim Curley who runs Star Performance, I know he was an agent for AMD but not sure if he touches Bmws, does he ring a bell with any of you and what is your opinion of his work with beemers. Any info will be in the stricted confidence. Any other suggestions will be greatly received

I've not encountered many Scottish places which do mapped chips. Try GMC Motorsport - http://www.gmcmotorsport.co.uk/ - in Newton Stewart for DASTEK - http://www.stormengineering.co.uk/ - UNICHIP although whether their RR will cope with your M5 is another question... AVA near Glasgow airport may be able to oblige? Star I haven't heard of in the context of mappable chips. Neither of these guys actually do their own chips, but I'd be happy with their recommendation - try Ian @ MMV in Stirling - http://www.mmvperformance.co.uk or Marc at 'The Garage' - http://www.the-garage.co.uk/. Hi gang! - I'm a newbie, be gentle! Stevie - I know Jim @ Star Performance fairly well. He will touch BMW's - the last time I was there (18/01) he was telling me about a 330i and an X5 3.0d he had chipped up with success. I know they're not M5's, so probly best to give him a call and talk it through. I'm not affiliated etc. just a satisfied customer of his. Cheers! Scott |

I live in Lanarkshire. I can recommend AVA as they did the chains on my E30 M3 for £1200,when i was being quoted £1700. They did a good job. |

I'm in Stirling, we've got folk from around Edinburgh and Glasgow who attend regularly and more far flung folk who join us when they can.

Guy's it has to be AVA 0141 848 5257 These guys worked wonders on my cav turbo fitting garret turbos and they have their own mappable management system. They uset to turbo charge BMW's in the old days when they were in Clydebank.
