Hi,
Need some advice...
Following on from an earlier post, I called PCS in Milton Keynes about some work that needed doing on my car. They have quoted me for patent parts and claim that the same manufacturer that these come from also make the BMW parts. They say the only difference is that with the patent parts, you do not get the badge. Is this true?
Also, I need some new tyres. I currently have Pirelli p6000. Standard 15" rims on car. What recommendations do you have? Car is 323 Coupe, '99.

If you mean 'pattern' parts, then yup, that sounds about right.
Trouble is it's not always true... some pattern parts ARE the same as OEM parts, just cheaper. Others are poor copies...

Matt, try Autobarn in Northampton or German and Swedish or Euro Carparts in MK.
How much £ do you want to spend on tyres? I put Vredestein Ultracs on my M3 and they are great-much better wet grip than the Michelin Pilots they replaced and at £100 a corner all in a damn sight cheaper too.

Thanks for the info
Looking to spend up to £100 per tyre and looking for all round weather and use.
I decided to use BMW parts and am having the work done tomorrow at PCS. Will let everyone know how they fare...

P6000 are supposed to be good in the wet as are Goodyear Eagle Ventura. Michelins are at their best in the dry and somewhat overpriced IMHO.
