Just out of interest are there many younger members of the club out there? Particularly in the south east and east anglia regions.  I'm 20 and everybody else seems to be way older.

I'm 27. Have to say Scottish region has a spread of ages and I think it works really well that way - we get a nice broad range of experences, opinions and ideas :-)

I'm 21, I live in Hampshire.

Why else do roundabouts have two lanes? The inside one for the front wheels and the outer one for the rear wheels!!

I'm 56, but what I want to know is, how do you young fellas get insurance?

My son is 20, works for a BMW dealer, and cannot get insurance for any kind of BMW, let alone a 325i!!

Me, I've got a 316iSE, and a K75RT (bike), both in the same colour blue, and it's cheaper to insure the bike than the car. Anyone know why that is?

Insurance was easy enough to get... you just have to stump up :-(

@ 26 with 7yrs NCB, parked on road, good postcode my 328i cost me £660ish with Tesco

@ 27 with 8yrs NCB, garaged, similar postcode £540ish again with Tesco

I was quoted up to £3000 with full NCB

Hey Jwalke54 - Just read your post in the other thread. Yesterday the roads were treacherous here in Hull.  Sounds like your premium will be higher next year. Worse luck!!

28 years old from Yeovil, Somerset, and am running a 1996 540i touring (group 19 insurance) and a Cavalier 2.5 V6 (group 17 insurance) which are both insured through a motor trade policy which costs about £800 per year. This covers me fully comp on any vehicle up to 7.5 tons and motorbikes up to 600 cc :)

I'm 28 living in Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales. I own an 1989 325i touring with K+N filter, lowered springs and a strutbrace, parked on a drive with 3 years ncb (should be 4, need to sort that out) paid £625 fully comp plus about £30 for the mods.

PS, on the lookout for a set of good clean front and rear seats in grey cloth for my touring, must have the recaro/sports seats and preferably rear head rests (somebody forgot to tick the options list when they bought the car!)

Cheers

Steve

About insurence, I've just got my renual from C.I.S. (co-op) tpft, 60% no claims - £477. If you think this is cheap, after ringing several companies Churchills quoted me £268. Have now opted for tpft with no-claims protection and legal cover for £320 from Churchils. I'm 30 and drive a 1988 320i auto. You have to ring around to find a decent deal nowadays, insurence companies seem to charge what they want and expect you to pay for other peoples accidents.

Anyone know where I can get some side skirts from?
