Hi All,

Took my car in for a service last week and also got them to look at a couple of rattles.

One was in the driver’s side door, which the dealer said they had hopefully fixed.

They fixed the rattle but created a far bigger problem  !!

The window normally drops a few mm's when you open and close it. This is now paying up when you close it, only sometimes working, leaving a 5mm gap at the top. They have also done something to create a nice scratch line all the way down the back edge of the window.

When I rang them they said the earliest they could look at it was in just over a week’s time.

Great customer service!!

Anyone else had a similar experience??

Good grief, I have to agree with John, I wouldnt stand for that treatment on my old bus, let alone a lovely new motor like yours.

Go back asap, and stamp feet !!!!! lol

Best Wishes

Nigel

Well I went and stamped my feet and all they could do was give me an appointment for tomorrow (Thursday).

They said they would order a new window to replace the damaged one.

Fingers crossed they will sort it

Finally got the window sorted.

The dealer replaced the glass and motor that drop's/closes the window on opening/closing the door.

The rattles have also (so far at least) been eradicated with the door panels being totally removed (both sides) and some of the wires being re-fixed and all the other bit's and bob's secured properly.

I guess the lesson here is if you have a problem stamp your feet until it's fixed.
