Skull,

Does the noise happen above a certain speed or all the time?

I can't say I have noticed any whistling on my E46 but then the CD is always on loud!!

You need to adjust your window to get it to seal properly. Mine did this after I had a repair done to the door - the garage messed with it - but if you want a job doing properly, do it yourself.

If you look on the underneath of the door, there are 2 rubber bungs, wind the window down and then you should see a Torx bolt, adjusting this will adjust the window top stop - I used a normal hex socket, but make sure its a good fit, it shouldn't need much force to turn the bolt.

Also if you take the door car off, there is a bolt in the middle of the door and this adjusts the angle of the window. My window needed tilting backwards slightly and then a bit more height.

Hope this helps!

i think mine is due to the mirror , as when i push on it while driving at speed the noise stops, thats a reason why i wanted feedback off the M E46 because if they dont get it i was gonna fit M mirrors .
it seems like its just not pressing hard enough onto the seal where the mirror sits.
any ideas .
just a little crazy.
