What forms did the E30 hartge's come in, excluding the H35 based on the M3. I have seen E30 hartge's with the small m-tech I type kit, but what other forms did they come in? The reason I ask is I know of what was a mint example that seemed to be based on a 325isport, it had a few of the things I would expect such as Hartge steering wheel/knob, hartge wheels/exhaust, also all the badges, the car has had a front ender and has been offered back as salvage at a good price . Does anyone know much about these cars, or is this one just a sport with the bits added on? It also has the proper leather recaros not the BMW sport seats. I do realise that the car is worth what theyre asking just for the Hartge extras, and I will be trying my best to get hold of this car! |

Hi Simon
Birds the BMW dealer are the people who would know about Hartge cars. The other person to ask is Iain Hamilton he of the H27 cabriolet. I have not heard of the car you are asking about. You could also check with Andrew Everet from Total BMW Mag. As you say if the price is right its worth it for the Hartge bits. Ron |

The Hartges came in various guises in various markets. American, Japanese, Old European and British. I have a host of literature on most of the models which I would gladly share with you. You can call me on 07810 650 395 and I will try to help you with your queries.......... Regards

Cheers for the help guys, I am just waiting for more information on the car, as I knew of the car before it was crashed, but have only just been told that the car is being offered back from the insurance company, so I have no idea of current condition extent of damage etc. I do know that the guy who crashed it had it for a bargain price as it came in as a part exchange at a car sales, and they had no idea of the value, just wish I had known about it |

Simon, The E30 Hartge H27 and the earlier H26 came with a variety of optional bodykits/styles. It could come with no added bodykit, or a front and rear spoiler with skirts. They both had the full engine conversion to 205 for the H27 or 220 for the H27SP or 190 for the H26 with polished and ported heads, larger valves, short shift close ratio gearbox, Lsd to 40 percent. Bilstein sports and hartge springs front and rear, upgraded anti roll bars, hartge steering wheel, recaros, optional three gauge above ashtray, hartge full stainless steel exhaust system and hartge 11 spoke classic alloys. Anti roll bar (front and rear for saloons but only front on cabs). Full six branch manifold and hartge chipped Ecu. BTW the H35 came with either slightly flaired arches or the full M3 style boxed arch kit. a few photos at http://community.webshots.com/scripts/show.fcgi?t=slideshow&ID=91116965&key=bRdCzT&pos=11 Iain Edited by Iain H |

Hi Simon, if it`s a bargin bag it, I bought my H26 Touring two and half year ago and I love it..a wolf is sheep clothing. It`s a EH/sport Auto with Switchlogic F1 Gear change system, no bodykit mods so still looks semi-standard apart from the Hartge alloys and extra low ride hight..!!
Good Luck Kev |

The guy who originally owned it has decided to buy it back and repair it, it's good news that he has decided to repair but he just doesn't realise how rare the car is! Cheers for the replies guys, I guess it's back to the drawing board! |
