I have a 2000 E46 323 SE and with reference to my other post about c/l i have found out this is what i require to fix the prob.

The main onboard computer which controls the electrics or something: Module ZKE-V

This is what BMW plug their laptop into too i beleive.

Has anybody got any advice/dealings with these? Another site showed me their invoice which corrected the exact same problem. £188 for the ZKE-V, £70 labour and £15 to test/commision with laptop

Plus VAT it was around £305.

I guess this is what i need, Thats *bmw* life i guess

Hi...as I write this there are over 50 people reading the forum so you must just be unlucky and have a problem nobody can help you with.

It sometimes takes a few days for somebody with the answer or previous experience to read you post and provide some help or advice.

In my experience it is very rare for somebody to get no answer. The depth of knowledge is amazing.
