Hi

On the weekend of the 5th & 6th of June there is a Classic Car Show at Tatton Park a two day event with overnight camping/caravaning. Ive attended this event many times and it is always a great show we normally camp over as there is entertainment in the beer tent at night or maybe have a barbie.

Hi Rutter,  That German sports car show in September, you were asking about. Details posted by Kevin(thanks),Do you think you could put on a display, to uphold the Battle Honours of North West Region??.

Hi

It would be a shame for us not to be there as a club or at least have a presance I assume most people attending would expect BMW to be represented at the show and yes I would like to get some of our members to come along. As I said the merecedes club is going and as my brother is an active member of that club and attends all the pub nights I will talk with their regional organiser who I know well and get all the info from him as how to go about us going. Also how would you feel about E30 zone forum members comming I can post a topic on their site but I suspect most are not club members.

See you at Gawsworth

Rutter

Hi I'm a new member based in Manchester.

Should be getting my newly purchased 1990 M5 before the end of this month.

I  normally go to the Tatton shows with the Vauxhall Opel Drivers Club but since I am selling my Carlton GSI and my Lotus Carlton is in pieces I can hardly put a BMW on their stands ;)

DO you think this club is gonna be there then?

Hi...I have been in contact with the people that arrange the Classic Car Show at Tatton and they said not sure if they have any room for us..!! (This was last year after I phoned the guy that ran the event)

But we run our own BMW FESTIVAL at TATTON PARK in Sept every year..big show, in it`s 5th year now.

Regards

I remember this club being there last year at the second tatton show when i was there with the vauxhall opel drivers club.

i normally go t both shows....

but with no vauxhall to take and no bmw there i may have to settle for borrowing my mates corvette ;)

its not all bad i suppose..lol

Hi...don`t think it was the BMW CAR CLUB....it was the Drivers Club which has now closed down. We have never done the classic shows at Tatton.
Only our own stand alone event.

Yes I`d love to do the show...I went on my own last year for a look around and a recky, it`s a big show..that`s when I rang the guy that runs the event, and he said to me that he was not sure if he could get any more clubs in..???? He took my details but have never heard a thing since.
The big problem with all these shows is manpower in the North West, we have myself, Jeff the Chairman and Keith and the odd few other members when they can help out.
But we all have full time jobs and we can`t do everything every weekend.
Also all our efforts are put into our own main North West event of the year held at Tatton..and people could get fed up of the same venue 2/3 time a year..?

Hope to see you out and about in you M5..Keith has an E28 M5..Dark Red.

Regards

No sorry no discounts..the Classic Car Show is not run by the BMW CLUB, it is a private concern for profit.
