Nor me neither! Went to them for the 1st time since they'd moved to Worcester (to get my BMW-Sauber hat - too late now guys - haha) and Martin on parts gave me - and friend - the guided tour.

Normally they deliver my parts to me - at work, at no extra charge, and still at discounted prices.

p.s. Martin is in hospital recovering from a major operation - appears to be doing well, but "Get Well Soon Mate"

The guys at Field Lane Garage (underneath) BM Town in Litherland near Liverpool have been brill with me. BM independants who are knowledgable, quick and dont take the shirt off your back. I had a head gasket done by them and that tricky wots its name (ignition barrel/steering lock unit changed. I have also rang them on many occasions and they are very helpfull.

I have also been to a local dealer who gave me 20 questions before they would sell me an oil filter!

I would love to nominate Sytners of Chigwell BUT CANNOT as my car has been returned the last 3 times DAMAGED. To a man they are incompetent. It is only BMW UK Customer Service's help that they have been shamed to try to resolve things but six months on and still things are outstanding.

Feel free to PM me if you would like Chapter and Verse

Sorry Moderators but this is the truth and I stand by what I have said

If You are looking for a good body repair and spray centre in East Anglia then I can highly recommend Spectrum Repair and Spray Centre in Thetford. The quality of work and the way they went above and beyond with my E36 when it was there last week was amazing. Also the only time I have been to a spray centre and actually paid what I was quoted. I will definatly be taking all my spray work there in the future.

Contact them on 01842762575 or 07833567146

Regards,

Brad

falkon engineering and performance, if you want a proper job doin then this is a good place to go.mates have used teeside auto tech before and gave good reports, also cant fault preston hall bmw, used them once when engine was idling badly when i had just got the car, daignosed fault in seconds outside and when i got job done they only charged half what they quoted as it did not take as long as they though.(this was before i found falkon)

cheers steve

BMW dealership in Portsmouth, Snows

450 miles from home on my way to Spain the owners manual didn't match what was under my bonnet when I went to change the lights to wrong hand drive - didn't know what to do!  Wasn't keen to go to main dealer, previous experience of snooty/arrogant salesmen and the thought of the cost and time didn't help but I had no choice

On arrival a very pleasant young lady directed me to the service department.  A very helpful chap asked for the keys and suggested my wife and I have a complimentary cool drink in the café (it was a very hot day) while he took the car to the workshop.  15 minutes later he put the keys on the table in front of us, said there was no charge, told me how to change the lights back then wished us a pleasant holiday.

Well thank you Snows of Portsmouth I did have a super holiday kicked off with a pleasant surprise at your BMW dealership.

Oooh, The machine of a dream, such a clean machine With the pistons a pumpin', and the alloys all gleam, When I'm holding your wheel, All I hear is your gear, With my hand on your grease gun, Mmm it's like a disease son, I'm in love with my car, gotta feel for my automobile, Get a grip on my .......
