I dipped my toe in last night and satisfieid my curiosity.. the gathering at the 'Wheel' turned out to be a lot of kids but there were also a lot of like minded people.. whethere we want to camp out in mass at such an event is another matter but it's an excuse to get the motors out and doubles up as a second Central Scotland meet each month...

To say the M caused some interest is an understatement though few came across until I jacked the bonnet and cranked the revs.. for the kids u understand..

Huge number of cars (400-500) and amongst the usual stuff there was some nice skylines, 'teg Type Rs.. a yank style F&F Eclipse, 350Z, Elise, VX and a Porsche 996 Carrera..

I've got chattin' (as I do) to some of the regulars and they seem a friendly bunch and a few Scoobie and SS-R members go.

I'm sure this will only appeal to a small group of us and our police brothers may want to avoid this sort of thing. however the event was well run.. Police seem well advised and happy enough to stand off.. but it'd be nice to get a small group of us to sample a little bit of car culture we would otherwise avoid.. a chance to chin wag and look at the girlies if nothing else (ofwhich there were truck loads..)

I'm sure the Bairn would like this.. Baz.. you back yet?

Not everybody's cup o tea i suppose! I might be interested in the future depending on my schedule, but a few other would have to make the trip too! I think for me and the others who have to travel, a thursday is a bit of a pain!

Being a past visitor at Strathclyde park on a sunday........

I'd be happy to go along, next time you are going, and keep you company.

And it looks like i am not working that day for a change!!!

Aye - good on ye Baz.. that'll make a nice bunch of us and we can park up with the SS-R bunch and I'll make introductions.

Sweet... next meet is first Friday of June. Most likely at the Wheel or may be at the new stadium.

Thats the crack. There was only Myself, Dunc and Shorty turned up last night. And my mate Paddy come along for the run, but there was only 2 cars.

Good crack though, busy enough struggled to find a parking space actually. Loads of burds, SOME nice metal and some buckets floating around. Good wee outing was had, I must admit.
