I think I have found a problem with my plan. I will investigate and get back to you.

Mags,

I have them on the M3 and they are very useful when I switch from the road set to the track set. It just takes a minute to unclip and reclip.

One thing to be careful of is the thickness of the number plates. I had to trim the top of my road set to get them to fit.

I got mine from EUtags.

I've got the black ones with M Power on instead of motorsport, also didn't think the white would suit the car! £15 each

I've got plates from EU tags on my car and I think they look great, somehow more suitable for the Lhd E30 M3 than the british style plates. I'm no fan of the italic or comedy plates but these EU tags plates are really good, correct font, stadt badge, proper bmw motorsport surrounds and made of pressed aluminium. They cost £170 but worth it I think (in a mad kind of way!!)

Woo Hoo, one person who agrees!!  Well, I ordered my plates from Germany, pressed alu. However the stadt badges are said to only be available from the government in Germany according to the german I got the plates from. So I'll buy mine from EU tags too, although £12.50 each is harsh, and you need 2 or them and 2 date badges to be fully correct!!  £50 just for badges!!

By the way I paid £24 for 2 plates from Germany  but through an American site. Look weird without badges

Blimey! The green ones are as good as forging a UK tax disk and drive along in Germany. AU is the emmissions tag and HU is the current MOT date. The Bayern one is a bit poor, but the whole thing is almost as printing bank notes. On the real one's the AU and HU Letters are actually numbers of the year when the tests run out.
Also the colour will change every two years. Some samples

If your guys are thinking of making your own stadt AU/HU tags, then use the PDF Price list as the graphics are much better. Get the size correct and have them transferred to acetate at your local print shop and using clear laquer to fix them. Worth a try and should cost less for the materials than the real thing.

Mine are exactly like the pic J7 VNK posted, not as good as Uwe's original and be careful as I jetwashed the stadt badge clean off the front the other day... managed to stick it back on though. Incidentally mine have GB with a euro flag rather than 'D' on them.
Cheers

Now you don't mean that really do you?

Anyway, it serves you right in showing off and posting them in the first place.
