Anyone had this problem.  I have a 1991 E32 (735i SE Auto).  It has ASC.  If you drive at circa 42mph or 62mph with teh accelerator just open enough to maintin steady speed, the engine seems to randomly "hiccup", just as if the ignition was turned off for a split second.  Anyone help with this one?

It can be the ASC system retarding the ignition/fuel because it is detecting more than 3-5% difference in rotational speed between the 2 rear wheels and tripping the ASC circuit.  This can be caused by the tyres being of different rolling radius (check pressures / wear etc).  It can also be the ABS sensors that are used to measure rotational speed, one might be dodgy.
