I had a 1987 Vauxhall Belmont SRi... heavily modified (spent 3000 on it.. sold it for 350 - good business sense me).
I loved it - went round corners like nothing I've driven since. I'd lowered it with Jamex (now GMax) full suspension kit and it was rock solid.. could loosen fillings on a bumpy road surface. Sounded cool too.. had a K&N and a full 3" exhaust system from the manifold to the back...
Wish I still had it!
Cheers
Gareth

A four-year old 1989 Mk II Ford Fiesta 1.1 "Firefly" in Radiant Red, it had all the Ghia refinements without the Ghia badge, another example of limited edition badge engineering throwing all the previously optional extras onto a car to help sell the old model before the new one came out... happy days though... I got it up to an indicated 92 mph (feel the speed!)

A Cherry red Peugeot 205 1.9 GTi.
My Brother still has it now but has a Mi16 engine and frequents the UKs tracks more than everyday driving.

Evening folks,
My first car was an 85' B Reg 316 in Zinnobar red, it had a webber conversion with manual choke (a pig to get going but engine was realy smooth).
The only problem was it was realy cheap cos it was in a flood and had to be restored. sewerage in boot, body work rotten, white mould on seats, mushrooms on carpets. Lots of work done to it by my father (who is a bl__dy good welder and engineer) and a full set of seats from a lux compleat with rear head rests...But it was mine, all mine
The last time i saw Bjork (B469 ORK) was in a scrap yard, two red doors leaning against a pile of twisted metal (sob).

Call me cynical, but what you're really trying to say is: "why do old gits usually end up as Moderators?"
