And a Burberry cap?

As an aside, Burberry must be really happy at the Chavification of their brand....

Ah, a great believer in never doing things by halves, then....

By contrast, humble beginnings for me:

1981 VW Jetta C (all 1272cc, 60bhp of it), in which I passed my driving test first time *sigh*... (cue Dvorak's New World Symphony, cobbled street on hill, etc.)

followed by first restoration project, a 1973 VW K70 L

How did you afford the insurance on an RS Turbo? My first car was a 1.0 Metro. Now that's embarrasing!Frown

as I recall, it was abot £1200 tpft so I was paying about £110 / month. Living at home and not paying any rent this was expensive but ok. Took me 4 months to 'see the light' and go german, after this (barring the skoda) it has been BM, VW & Merc all the way! never had the joy of metro tho'.....

You bet! I didn't know how rusty it was until I had a crash. All the front pannels were rusting from the inside out.  Big Smile
