hi all ....

well am new to bm's, had vauxhall's all my life , what a change, anyway am currently have my first problem, with my 1995 m3, i have akenwood cd changer system, i got it wired in and going, expect one major problem, it only works with the key, and when i switch it off, it does not remember the stations or store them...its a kenwood krc 659 r with a 10 cd changer, CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THE WIRING OF THIS SO IT REMEMBERS THE STATION FROM THE LAST TIME IT WAS SWITCHED ON, THERES A BLOCK CONNECTOR WITH ONE BROWN WIRE HANGING LOOSE FROM IT, IS THAT MY TROUBLE??? ALSO THERE'S A BIT OF A WHRILING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE BAY, IS THAT NORMAL IN THESE CARS?

Don't know about the model, but it should have a permanent live from the battery, as well as a live from the starter. If you don't have a wiring diagram, e-mail Kenwood they might be able to provide one. I had the same problem with an old Clarion unit, so I routed a direct live from the battery through one of the rubber plugs youl find by following other wires from the engine bay into the footwell for the dash. Once you get a diagram, you shouldn't have aproblem.

I know Pioneer use a red and a red/yellow for their permanent a switched feeds. Perhaps Kenwood do the same?
