Just bought a 320i SE 1991, i want to change the headunit to my Kenwood one, but on the onboard computer there is a code button, what is this?? if i disconnect the radio will the immobiliser kick in, i did'nt have any codes with the car, so i 've got to be sure nothing will happen before i install the new headunit

      Many thanks in advance

I'm almost 100% certain that you can change the head unit without any problems.  The immobiliser is for the engine (obviously) and is nothing to worry about.  Forget about it and change that head unit!!!
