Fries, see my post at http://www.bmwcarclubgb.co.uk/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=6452&PN=1 I just repaired the Light Control Module with identical problem with front headlamp. You can pay a dealer €500 to replace or try repair yourself. As for the rear brake light, sounds like you have a short. All lights controlled by the LCM are switched by their own individual transistor in the module so they are not related. Unless the transistor supplying the current to the rear right brake light is faulty but it's more than likely you have a short somewhere on the circuit for the rear brake light, possibly at the rear lamp cluster. Take out the bulb and check for any crap in around the contact terminals and see if you can see anything out of the ordinary. As for reairing the LCM yourself, if you or you know somebody handy enough with a soldering iron, then I would say tackle it yourself. The transistor you need is Infineon BTS426L1. The one in the module that has failed for your headlamp is a BTS425L1 but has now been replaced by the 426. They can be bought at RS (Radionics) for a few euro. Edited by Toxic |

Sounds like a problem with your Light Control module.
