Hi,

My 93 325i has an on board computer, which is good when you have a light go out as it tells you straight away!

However, what else can I use it for? I have no manual and have never owned a BMW before...

Is it possible to set it up so it displays things like my miles pr galoon for a journey, or average speed in a journey????

Also the display is slowly fading, is there anything I can do to fix it, its become a bit diffifult to read???

Cheers

Jp, If you e-mail me with your home address I will photocopy my manual and send them up to you, this will explain the functions on the OBC.

As for the fading display, this can be 2 things, either the bulbs are starting to go dim (easy to replace they twist out on the top of the OBC) or the actual LCD is dying, don't go to a dealer as they want £500 for a replacement, you can repair it yourself but it is a bitch of a job as they are supposed to be sealed units, or you can speak to Nigel at http://www.midlandbm.com/home.htm who supplied me with a SH one for £50 (if my memory serves me right)
