Hi all!

I am looking to get a few bits and pieces done to the car so wondered if anyone has any experience with any of these garages (good or bad!!)
Auto bavaria ( just off westgate road)
Norman Jones Motors (the old glass works, lemington) or
German prestige cars (

I have replied on the car mag forum.

"Autobahn in hexham
01434 607854
I use them for the M3 and the 5 series. Ask for robbie
I must admit Autobahn is a bit out the way (22 miles from my house) but the quality of work is good"

Hope that helps

George Lambrau @ Auto Bavaria has been there donkeys years & has worked on my E34 & my brothers E30 325.

Jon Morgan @ Prestige German Cars (just along from the Barbour factory by Bede Metro station) is also very good.  That's where I take my 635 after being recommended to him by the local BMW club.

Jon has set up on his own after working for BMW main dealers as a Master Tecnician (1 of only 40 in yhe UK).  He knows his stuff, on new models as well as older ones like mine.

By the way, we meet at the Holiday Inn, Cramlington 8:00pm on the 1st Wednesday of the month.  Drop in next time.

AndyS

Thanks for that info, I am new to the club having just bought a 730i and was about to ask for some recommended non-dealer workshops in the area when I read your post.

Auto Bavaria is quite close for me, but Jon sounds good....

Cheers
