730i Auto Probs

   Hey guys,

I just got a 1987 730i.  I got it cheap so I expected it to have a few probs.

The worst by far is that the transmission changes up to 3rd OK, but then never changes down or changes to 4th.

It all seems to change smoothly and reverse works fine.

Any tips ?  Controller ?  Where do I get a dirt cheap replacement ?

	Have you checked the gearbox oil level (ATF Dextron III) Possibly change the gearbox oil and filter. Check the A-S-M switch and the switch, under the centre console tony(nospam)@webmasterz.freeserve.co.uk
