Hi I just installed a set of M5 rims onto my E39 but I now feel the car needs lowered. Can anyone suggest a good place to get the parts and fit them? Cheers

Based in Edinburgh. Although I want to lower the car I don't want to have too harsh a ride, a balance between looks and comfort is important. |

If you fancy a blast along the M9 I recommend MMV Performance in Stirling - http://www.mmvperformance.co.uk. In Edinburgh, there's Auto Image (I think that's their name) opposite Fountainbridge - I think they do lowering. Superspeed out by the Zoo. Worth pricing ACS kit from your dealer too. |

Hi hi Just some advice for you rsmith I have a bmw e36 compact and fitted ACS lowering springs on the std sport dampers and the ride is pretty good and the springs are very good progressive springs keeping the handling nice and sweet. I would recommend ACS stuff i know its expensive but the quality of the stuff is excellent and I highly recommend them. I got menzies in stirling to fit it where i purchased the car but i stay in edinburgh now and deal with easten now, it took 2 hrs to fit the springs and adjustments. Take care Chrissss |

Thanks for the advice guy's. In the end I went for the PI springs and was recommended a great garage called CCMS in Duddingston. The job was very professional and the final out come very satisfying. The ride quality is very smooth and progressive, there is also no rubbing even on full lock. btw, AutoImage do not install suspension but they can supply the springs etc at a good price.
