Looked for Autoglym leather cleaner but the H@lford$ superstore in York didn't have any. ('swhy I got the mer to try)
Got some beeswax stuff from a motorbike show, naturpure or somesuch, will keep an eye out for the spray.

There's an autoglym leather cleaner spray which i've found to be very good. It's liquid rather than a cream though. That should shift the dirt out.

Once you have the seats clean try a bees wax leather polish, moisturises the polish and keeps them clean longer.

Whats the best way of cleaning leather?
Bought some Mer leather cleaner, and some Autoglym leather cream but still got dark creases and drivers seat still looks muckier than others. (Or aren't I rubbing hard enough?)

The seats in my car don't fold down. This is one of the few things I don't like about the car. It means that I have to borrow my dads 1.4 astra (60bhp) if I need to carry anything big. bigcry

Just been to Castle BMW for a few bits and peices, a remote key EWS-2 (Cat 1 Thatcham, with gold blade) will cost about 50, there's an EWS-1 (cat 2, with silver blade) but I don't know the price of that. A standard key is about 15.
I suppose its whats available for your system, I was also told it's the micro chip built into the key that dissables the immobiliser and starts the car not the key.

Just bought an switch for the auto box, as it won't go back into E. mentioned car club and got 5% discount, tint much but its sumat, 27 all told (just for a little switch).

Yeah, standard in the compact and the coupe, regardless of trim material.

The leather seats on my compact fold down. If yours are meant to they will have a handle recessed into the top on each corner.

The folding seats as far as I'm aware were an optional extra.  I know mine certainly doesn't fold down.

Only had my car since Tuesday & have a few questions,

Firstly is it possible to fold down the rear seats on a car with a leather interior? Tried to do it on ours in the diy shop car park & we couldn't. Hopefully just a mixture of tiredness & not reading owners book properly.

Also, My car only came with one remote (old one sepearte from key) & I want to get another one from BM. How much are they roughly inc programming & is it possible to upgrade to the one incorporated into the key? I also need to find my 4 digit code, how hard is it to get this from BM & how much do they charge?

Thanks in advance for any answers,

Dean.
