Topic: leather care Posted: 01-September-2004 at 15:54 |
Not specifically a 5 - series issue, but I wondered about how much
care leather upholstery needs, and what the best products are.
thanks.

I can highly recommend Gliptone's "Liquid Leather" products. They made my seats look nearly new again

I use Auto Glym Leather Cleaner and Leather Cream and a bit of TLC and it brings the seats up perfect and reduces aging lines.
I am going to try Gliptones next to see the difference and be better off to give a comparison.

I had always used the Autoglym products previously but the difference when i switched to Gliptone is amazing, it seems to smooth out all of the creases in the leather (caused by dirt getting embedded in the leather) and makes it look like new again....A number of other people on various forums have said that the autoglym leather care products are not particularly good.
Sorry if it sounds like an advert but it really is good stuff

I'm using the Meguiars Gold class cleaner/nourisher. I cannot comment much though as the seats were so clean when I got the car that I can't tell the difference! Easy to use though.

Thanks for the comments. After checking through some other
threads, I have ordered the Liquid Leather. It offered one more
feature that I hadn't thought about - it restores the leather smell. I'll
post a report after Ive had a go with it.
Next question - favourite alloy wheel cleaner for heavily soiled
inner section of wheels. (they look fine from the outsidfe, but I
know they are dirty on the inside!)
Nice motor,, Retset!
cheers
