bmw 316 1982help!

   hello I have recently become the owner of a bmw 316 I am not sure what the vehicle is worth or know anything about it. The car is a dark greeny gold in colour has cream interior and has only done 60,000 miles since new. It was owned by an elderly woman since it was about 6 months old and is in very good condition apart from a small amount of welding required for the mot and a general tidy up. I do not know what mark the car is all I know is it is older than an E30 and I need to know what type this car is. It has the overhanging front and one set of headlights if that is of any help to anyone.
What I would like to know is what it is worth, and how popular with collectors the car is. Also any information on what type this bmw is would be much appreciated. Thanks for your help.

	Sounds like an E21 3 series, produced from 1975-82. It has 90 bhp and has a top speed of 101 mph. In 'A' class condition it's worth about �400, maybe a bit more if you're lucky. If I were you, keep it, look after it, take it to BMW shows and apprieciate it for what it is, a piece of BM history.....!
