I have just noticed that my TV is now not working on my 540, asnd it has even disappeared off the menu list on the monitor. Can anyone tell me why this has happened please?  Thanks,

Spookily it has now re-appeared.....................not sure for how long though?  Has anyone esle suffered from this sort of thing?

I guessing because I don't have the luxury of a TV but might it be related to the engine running.

Engine on = no TV,
Engine off = TV.

Safety measure to stop people crashing while watching their favorite soap or whatever.

it won't be that... the tv option will always be there engine on or off - true that the picture shuts off when the car is in gear or moving... but you should still have sound or it listed in the options..

I suggest there is more than likely a fault with the connections.. ie: of the blue and the white plugs on the TV are disconnected the tv will not be accessible from the control menu.  that fact that you seem to have an intermittent fault couls indicate a loose wire or connector.

could be the video module causing the problem, that is what controls the t.v. function.

Thanks but it now seems to be working fully again, so I guess it must be a loose wire.
