Help with removing trim, E12

Was wondering if anybody knows how
to remove the black piece of trim (see picture below) on the C pillar (looks
like an air vent) on the E12 5 series?  Mine is a little discoloured and I want to freshen it up

Also on a 1981 M535i should this be matt
black in colour?

Any help or advice welcome

	Not speaking from experience, but I'd say remove the Interior panel of the c pillar and see what you can see from inside the car.

	Cheers Joe I was hoping that was'nt the case the trim panel on the inside looks a right bugger to remove and replace, I'l have a look at it more closely next week, thanks again Pete
