radio cover not opening smoothly

   The flip down cover over the top half of my 523i's business radio has become 'clicky' - when I open or close it I can feel the ratchety movement of it rather than the normal smooth movement. I don't know what caused it but is it easy to fix?

	Try some silicone lubricant. I'm not sure if there is a hole you can squirt it into though that will allow the stuff to get to the mechanisim but give it a whirl. Andrew

	It's so easy to remove the business unit that you don't need a hole to squirt it in. Remove the on/off knob, insert a cheeshead screwdriver in to the hole above the shaft, turn the screw anticlockwise about a quarter turn and gently pull the radio out. Then you can easily get to the cover mechanism.
