I think insurance does not cover more than 1 passenger in commercial vehicles.

Thought that too, but just been reading an article on UK insurance in the Drive section of the Times and it appeared that many insurance companies did not refer to number of passengers.

A bigger concern was the number of seat belts - I must check the policy on the van as a matter of interest - its a Ducato and can carry the driver plus two in all its comforet and style!

And pretty quickly too, with the 2.8L HDI (or some other name, commonrails anyway!)!

Thanks for the info on the M50 conversion!

What the weather supposed to be like for the WE? dry or wet, jst to decide witch set of tyres I go with! (can only bring 2 spares with me, boot not big enough for 4, just about for 3)

Ah Yes - if only it were the HDi but no we are normally aspirated, cheap and nasty it only does about 4k miles per year but it does the job.

Drove it to Munich and back last year for a trade show.  That was an experience but and you won't believe this we left Munich at 12 noon on the Saturday and arrived into Portmarnock at 11am on the Sunday.

Average speed of 62mph I think removing ferries, trains, fuel stops etc.  That was with 1200kg in the back also - Shows what you can do on decent roads
