as title really ?

 it wouldnt just have to be for bmw related video's ! it could be for anything funny , crazy or just downright impressive

 obviously no porn or anything unsuitable  and i would volunteer to moderate it if makes any difference .

what about a private ftp server...?

ive got lots of videos i could host on a server if you like?  free ratio upload and download for forum members?

couple of questions:-
bandwidth - who pays for it & what upload/download speeds do you have?
space - how much can we have? You may be surprised at how much space can get used up in a short space of time.
permissions - what file types? you would need to secure the server from non movie file types. Also who gets to upload? Every forum member?

I can get a hosting a/c for about 50$ which provides 2GB and the security issues, etc are not our problem anymore. Even the hosting package we are using here has 1.5Gb for about $120 (this one is on windoze & includes SQL Server).

hello kevin   , yeah havnt been on for a while . we still have the rangey and the convert and i accidently bought a mint mk2 granada off ebay .  weve been having financial probs seeing as im still outa work so the collection is getting older and smaller . although i have applied for a salesmans job at my local mainstealer so you never know , i might end up driving a new bmw if it goes well .

 back on topic . the only reason i put this idea forward is since getting broadband  ive realised all the good stuff thats floating around , and as this site is more of a chat and help kind of place i didnt think it would be right for people(ME )to start filling up rooms with countless posts containing videos  as it would mean someone would have to keep checking them which would obviously take up even more of the mods unpaid time etc etc etc .

 its only a suggestion guys and im sure you will give it some thought  . Also as i allready said i would me more than willing  to help out with it , although im not a techy and dont have the 1st idea about how all this works
