Derek,

Yes he did have an Alpina 02. He bought the E21 after that.

And sold it on already.... another butterfly In that case, you've now got the cleanest looking E21 I've ever seen!

Hi

E21's are greta cars, i nearly heading to double figures with the ones i have owned.

They down side is they rust and most of the bad handling comes from 25 year old bushes that have never been replaced.

The trouble is they are undervalued, the cost of parts is about the same as an e30 to uprate the, and considering you can pick a 323i for under £500 most people dont spend the money on them.

But there is a small hard core of modifers, I just commision a run of quick racks and carbon fibre bonnets at the moment.

The general consensus seems to be that they're not worth the trouble
Jason, especially as there are so many E30s left on the road. My E21 has
had a rust repair in the boot floor but otherwise it's a good solid car.

I've had the tail out a couple of times but that just adds to the fun! I love
it and don't really care about what others think of them. I'd love a 2002 or
an E30 sometime in the future but, for now, the E21 will do for me. Why
be boring?
