Just normal car shampoo and a sponge normally works. I find that brake dust comes off fairly easily, it's the tars spots that are a b***H to remove.

3 times a week!! you must have too much free time on your hands Big Smile

Try using a quite heavily concentrated solution of washing up liquid/warm water in a trigger-spray bottle.

Soak the wheels after youve washed your motor and leave it a few mins. Will loosen it up at least.

Toothbrush always helps for the crevis' too, but can taste a bit rank after prolonged use.

once youve washed and cleaned them, make sure you use car polish on them, makes them shiny and makes the brake dust really really easy to get off in future

any car polish stuff will do, meguiars, autoglym... ive got a bottle of turtle wax "extreme wax for wheels" that ive yet to crack the top off, need to get the motor nice and shiny for this weekend so ill let you know if its especially worth buying

Jeesus wet Pete .. I bet you have spray jets fitted under each arch, fed from a tank of Highland Spring in the boot, during the winter months dont u?

"Thal be ne salt gettin near ma wheels!!".... Up where you live they pile it on the roads like its going out of fashion.

Only messing...theres salt everywhere... but remember ..too much is bad for you

Never ever use fairy liquid near your motor!!! Especially on chrome alloys!!! I just use either my autoglym shampoo or meguiars hot rims or hot wheels whatever its called, both work a treat!
