Thanks Iain.
I've had a look at the link and I believe it refers mainly to later models than mine, but I've bookmarked the link and taken a copy of the info just in case! |

As many of you are probably aware the BMW On Board Computer (OBC) units often have, depending on the exact model, numerous "hidden" test fucntions.
I have the access key sequences for a couple of different year model BMW OBC's but none of them seem to work on my particular OBC. The standard variant: * Press the DATE key, and add the day + month numbers * Press 1000 and 10 simultaneoulsy, then use 10 and 1 keys to enter test 19 * Press S/R once. You will now see 0000LOCK or similar * Use the 10 and 1 keys to enter the sum of day + month * Press S/R -- secret functions are unlocked... * Verify by entering test 19 again. Display should show FREE doesn't produce anything useful. Does anyone have a sequence to reveal any hidden test codes for an OBC, possibly an OBC II unit in a car assembled by BMW in September 1989? |
