 Something else...

My N/S light lens has condensation in the top Reversing light section.

Is there an obvious place for water to get in or a known cure? Mines a 2001 728iSport.

Would appreciate any advice anyone has as a newbie..

Thanks

you could have a small hairline crack that's letting moisture in, take it off and inspect it thoroughly.

I have had it twice now, in both the original and the replacement unit. Given that the "faulty" side doesn't seem to fit flush compared to the other side, I suspect the car might have been "dinged" by it's previous owner and now every new light gets warped because it doesn't fit properly. Stealer is as useful as ever.

Bujang

What lights do you have? If you have been thinking of upgrading them it may be an opportune time if you have a prob with the exisiting one's?

Cheers

My 728 is 2001 vintage so lights are presumably later versions. I took the lens unit off and found plenty of water inside. On cleaning out noticed large crack down one joint. Managed to superglue clamp and then filled crevice with silicone sealent - seems to work so far

Do you have any cheap options if this repair turns out to be temporary?

Thanks

Hi Bujang

Your right the 2001 model should have the diamond style lights.... I think??

Sounds like your repair has done the trick, if not and you are looking for replacements (apart from ebay obviously) try Europarts they are pretty hard to beat.

Good luck
