Got my 316i Coupe (1998 R Reg exactly 64000 miles on the clock)wrecked on Monday night by a hit and run driver. The car is a write off as I hit a parked car through no fault of my own.

I now need to wait to see what I get back for it.

I'm going to get another one but I want something with a bit more power than the 316 as it was terrible but was a great runner.

Going to spend up to £15000 and was thinking 318 2.0 ltr or 320.

Full leather either in Blue or Black.

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

cheers

I think he meant the exterior  paintwork in either Blue or Black Mel (who says its just blondes that are dopey ???

But just incase Im wrong (happened before) and to answer your question:

If you did want blue leather, I think the only 3ers youd be looking at having such a thing in,  is the "individual" ones, but cant recall seeing one with it.

The black & blue leather on the M5 is seriously gorgeous ... be good if you could do something similar in a 3er.

It would be blue or back in colour!

As for the leather that would be easy to get in black probably.

I drive about 250 miles a week going to work so something with a bit of power and economical.

Total nightmare not having a car though.

Hopefully the police will prove who was driving the allegedly stolen car and jail them or more than likely give them a slap on the wrist and a fine.

Looks like the insurance might be sorted out by next friday.

I've decided to get a 320 CI SE 2.2

Hopefully with everything in it and Leather seats.

I'll let you all know how I get on.

Thanks for the replies as I nearly decided to get a merc!!!

Got the Insurance sorted out.

Hopefully I'll get a 320 CI SE 2.2 this week or next.

Here's the last time I saw the accident damaged car.

And there's a full tank of petrol in it too.

Was hit at the back tyre just at the filler cap by a car doing between 50 - 60mph.

Enjoy your BMW you might lose it tomorrow!!!

Think it's a spare from the garage that took the car away.

Most of the damage looks as if it's on the passenger side but it's got a bent back axle!!!!

Got hit by a ned doing about 50 at the drivers side back wheel at the filler cap.

Think it'll be a 320 CI SE 2.2 under 40000 miles and FBMWSH. Maybe this week or next week. Insurance is going to go through the roof as the driver of the car that hit me hasn't been caught yet.
