the brake wear indicator lamp has started to light up intermitently on my dash, it'll come on or go off if i drive over a bump or cats eye in the road.

i assumed that if the brakes were sufficiently worn, the lamp would come on and stay on.

can anyone confirm that this is the case (because if so i imagine i just need to check the connectors for the indicators instead of replacing the pads)

just had the wheel off and fixed the problem, it turned out to be a loose connection on the sensor.

Sigh of relief there, I think.

My brake wear indicator is the grinding noise I'm now getting from the front discs when I apply the brakes.....
